Stefano Quintarelli

He is one of the pioneers in the introduction of the Internet in Italy.

Deputy of the Italian Parliament in the past legislature (2013/2018), member of the Internet Rights Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, founder and leader of the Parliamentary Intergroup for Technological Innovation.

Serial entrepreneur, he founded I.NET, the first Italian corporate Internet Service Provider and Italian internet unicorn, listed on the stock exchange and sold to BT. He was founder and board member of Clusit, the Italian association for security, founder of AIPSI, the Italian association of security professionals, co-founder and president of AIIP, the Italian association of ISPs, founder and president of Centro Studi Impara Digitale, an association dedicated to the positive use of technologies in schools, former President of the Steering Committee of the Italian Digital Agency, former member of the High Level Expert Group on AI of the European Commission, President of the Advisory group on advanced technologies of the UN (CEFACT), Member of the leadership council of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network for the UN, member of the scientific boards of the Bollati & Boringhieri publishing group and of Copernicani NPO.

He was professor of Information Systems, Network Services and Security at UniNettuno.

He graduated in Computer Science at the University of Milan, where among his professors he met and worked with Gianni degli Antoni.
