Strategic consultant, lecturer and disseminator of cybersecurity and information security.

Member of the Board of Directors of Clusit from 2015 until today. Senior cybersecurity expert at Agenzia per l’Italia Digitale, for the development of the Public Administration CERT (2015-20). Member from 2010 to 2020 of the Advisory Group of the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA).
Professionally active since 1985 in the field of network and information security, he deals with: cybersecurity and information security in complex organizations; cyberwarfare, cyberterrorism and protection of critical infrastructures; cryptography, steganography and data protection techniques; technological intelligence and counterintelligence; cybercrime and its contrast; relationships between technology and law; socio-cultural aspects of risk in the use of new technologies.

Since 1999, as director of division or business unit, he has been responsible for the provision of professional services of information security in primary system integration and consulting companies, national and multinational. He has led important audit and assessment projects of logical security and designed security infrastructures and trusts, in large companies and public administrations.

He is currently a lecturer in the 2nd level University Master in Homeland Security at the University Campus Bio-Medico of Rome; in the 2nd level University Master in Cybersecurity at the Link Campus University; in the 2nd level University Master in Cybersecurity at the LUISS University of Rome; in the Master in Strategic Protection of the Country System at the SIOI. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Law and Informatics Area of the Ghislieri College – University of Pavia and a member of the Advisory Council of the Engineering Macro Area of the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He is a lecturer at Formez and the National School of Administration (SNA).

He holds the following certifications Lead Auditor BS7799 (BSI, UK), Lead Auditor ISO 27001 (BSI, UK), CISM (ISACA, USA), CRISC (ISACA, USA), C|CISO (EC Council, USA).

The University of Rome Tor Vergata conferred him the honorary degree in Internet Engineering and Information and Communication Technologies.
